A Well Deserved THANK YOU!!!

This Post Particularly will be Posted EVERY Year just before School Starts so Teachers will know that Someone Appreciates what They DO for Us and Our Children - Our Children which ARE OUR FUTURE.... EVERYONE from Neil Armstrong to Presidents, General Laborers - aka Plumbers/Electricians/Painters/Mechanics etc..., ALL start in School.

Anything at Anytime says Thank You!

Today's post may be short, or it may be long just depends on how much I can think of to Thank Many Hard working individuals.

As today is the first day back to work for my wife today - without students (that is next Monday), I would like to Thank Teachers.

Please understand this is for those Teachers that take an active interest in their students and their job.  There are some out there that just take the job as a job and don't try and don't care for anything but the paycheck.  I have seen them on my own and witnessed them walking down school halls.  Believe me when I say this - Students and People in general can tell a Teacher from a teacher.

For the Teachers out there that Really care for their students and are proud of their profession, I THANK YOU!

Thank You for:

1. watching our kids day in and day out.
2. making sure our kids have a safe place to go if they feel things aren't right or safe.
3. Educating our children with all of the restrictions placed on you by state and federal regulations.
4. Showing up to work every single day even though you feel like "crap".
5. Dealing with those kids that just don't want to be away from "mommy" or "daddy".
6. Having to put up with runny noses and scrapped knees.
7. Making sure our children understand that with an education there are better things out there for us all.
8. Putting up with those of us that are a challenge at times.
9. and along with #8 having the Patients of Job
10. Those Teachers that take their own money to ensure that those one or two students that don't have,  Have mysteriously.  
11. The Teachers that see a student not as a kid that they have to suffer with day in and day out but sees the child as a person that has human issues outside of school.
12. finding whatever way it takes to get the student(s) too understand.  (even though I personally have always had issues with "to" and "too" :) )
13. Standing up for and Noticing that it is not always One child's fault.
14. Encouraging our children to try to do their best.
15. helping our children realize they have more Potential than they think.
16. finding that thing that makes each kid tick and helping them understand how what you are teaching applies to that - example: a kid likes rockets but is having difficulty in science, once the kid knows that science got the rocket going he/she pushes harder to learn more.
17. opening the minds of our children.
18. dealing with sore feet because of walking around the classroom all day.
19. doing extra work at home in order to be prepared for the next day
20. and Most Important of All:   Being a TEACHER that CARES.

If you don't see yourself on this list and want to be there find a Teacher at your school and ask them how you might be better.  Personally, my first suggestion would be to realize that you might learn something from your kids.  Education is a two way street.

An Idea, A " Hunt " and an Ultra Cheezy Prize

Hello Readers,

This is New, Fresh material for Anything at Anytime.... Again, it will not be found written on the Old site.  When I started this site up back at the tail end of May, One of my thoughts was to make this an Interactive site. 

Bare with me and let me Explain....

I wanted to be able to Offer you the Reader(s) the chance from time to time to go Beyond Just My Site and see a few other Blogs or News Sites or twitter or ANY kind of medium that I can find that you could access Via your Computer (at NO Cost to you... aka FREE sites) and "Hunt" around.

If I had Money to spend, Maybe offer a prize or two, to (or is it "too", I Always mix those two up) the first to Find the "Answer or End" to/too (lol) my question or goal.
At this time I can NOT afford prizes and do NOT have a "Sponsor" to give me "Products/Prizes" to Offer, All I can do at this time is a "Heartfelt" "Thank You" and "Yes you got it Right", and a Shout Out on Twitter mentioning your Name (if you like, if not I won't).

That being Said.... I will Still Keep this an AD Free site as LONG as possible...!!!!!
Any "Sponsor(s)" Will Have to REALIZE I will NOT put Links Directly to their site (A Picture, description of Product, Who makes it, etc... BUT NO DIRECT ADVERTISING).

Anyway,
That Company is Totally Hemp Crazy (stock symbol: THCZ) they Have a Drink Line "Rocky Mountain High": Energy, Lemonade, Iced Tea (see Picture on the side - That was the first can I drank... In my Opinion... GOOD!!!  Nice out of the can but better Poured over Ice (whole ice, not crushed... Like you would a Scotch on the Rocks) in a Tall Glass Glass), Lime Coconut and "rumored" (not out yet) to be bringing out a Mango... as well as other things available...
I Would LOVE to have them Offer a Case (12 cans to a Case) of the "Winner(s)'s" choice...
It would be a Win/Win...

1. They would get additional exposure to others that are not aware of their products.

2. It would be Relatively Inexpensive (Value of a Case or # of Cases, shipping and a blurp on Facebook and Twitter that a Contest was taking place on (you guessed it) Anything at Anytime.... Again.

3. I imagine there is a way that they would be able to write that off as Advertising Expense or something like that.

4. For me... it would be (Hopefully) added exposure, more Followers (here and on G+ and Twitter (because every Post gets a blip or two on Twitter and G+) leading to Comments and helping me explore new ideas for writing from comments.....

5.  For them.... Depending upon where the "Winner(s)" are from... it could give them Exposure in areas they have not expanded to yet and maybe create some (a few) online orders or a demand to expand into a new Region... Like OUT Here in El Paso... (Hint, Hint) (wink, wink) (nudge, nudge).

BUT....
That is Probably "Wishful Thinking" on my behalf...

Anyway, back to how I want to make this Interactive / a "Hunt"...

I will write my Post for the Day and may ask you to go Look "Something" "Anything" Up... It may involve Looking at a few sites.... I will put clues out to what you are looking for and the Follow ups that make you go to other sites "From" a link on those sites....

As I have written in one of the descriptors for Anything at Anytime:  Anything at Anytime - Sometimes even surprising me.

Until the other day I had no idea how true that was. 

I was talking to my Mother about this site because I had made some changes and with them living far away I could have her look and tell me if she saw what I wanted her/the audience to see.  She did and as Mothers do started talking about what I was doing (about the blog).  As you will guess, I got the usual comments about "Oh, you write so well.", "You could have always written like this......", "Why didn't you........." . 

Honestly, I don't think my writing is that good but is descent and gets across my point.  But being a Parent myself I can truly understand what she was saying, so I swallowed the "Your only saying that because your my Mom." 

Somewhere in the conversation we got to talking about one of my previous post The "Quill" and she mentioned a bit of trivia behind it. 

First a bit of background:  I like History, love to read it and think about what could have happened if..... I also like it because if you pay attention to your History you can get an idea about what is coming. 
My Mother is one of those Genealogy Nuts.  She just dives into finding out who, what, and where the family has branched out from.  She has two different places she keeps track of it all. 

Anyway!  Back to where I was going.

I had written The "Quill" and our discussion was over what I had written and she was reading it again while we were talking and then she came to the end, the part that talks about the last person to sign the Declaration of Independence - Matthew Thornton. 

As she said it exactly:  "Oh, by the way we are Related to Him."  It was like a bombshell. 
Bang, Pow, Boom and all of that stuff.

First thought in my mind was: Now, that is cool.  To be able to say that somewhere down the line by some backhanded way I, we (my family) are attached to one of the Greatest Documents in American History!  The next thing was: What are the odds that I would choose to write something like that, about that, and mention his name when I did it?

One of those Freaky, weird things that just happen from time to time.

I have had time to think about it since she told me and I still find it to be an awesome coincidence that I would write that, mention his name and to find out after the fact that I am, in some out there extended way, related to one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. 

Now, after thinking about it, I have a Dilemma!  I used to be a Republican, even held a precinct chair position here in El Paso for awhile.  Now I am a self proclaimed True Independent.  All of the parties; Republican, Democrat, and the Tea Party, have something valid to say about what and how our government does things.  All of them are completely wrong with other things they say and do. 

Do I, as a descendant of one of the Original Signers, have a responsibility to bring that Document back to Life?  As a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army have the Duty to tell you all that WE (as a people) need to look at what that Document tells us - Nay - that Dictates to us that WE should do all in OUR Power to make the changes that must be made?!?!

We, as a People, have as much if not more responsibility than those in office.  We select them and put them in place to represent US.  If they are not doing the job we gave them, then it is OUR Responsibility to vote them out and to elect someone that will do what they are supposed to. 

We, as a People, must not forget the whats, the whys and the wherefores that got us to where we are today!  Documents such as the Declaration of Independence are/were written as guidelines to provide their Descendants, us (you and me), a path to follow when Governments or representatives over step the bounds.

No one party is responsible for what has and is happening in OUR Government.  WE, as a People, have that weight on OUR shoulders.  WE the People have, by OUR inaction and lackadaisical attitudes, allowed OUR Representatives to do and think the way they have for so long that Now they BELIEVE THEY KNOW what is best for us and WE DON'T!

There are some well intentioned Representatives in place now.  They are far out weighed by the Representatives of Special Interest - mostly the Special Interest of "What is in it for ME!" and the "How can I make monies!"  and the "They are Sheep and We Know Best Crowd!"

WE, the People (One Entity), must speak as a Voice, a single Voice, that says "It ends here and it Ends NOW!"  "Do as WE say or WE vote you out!"  Make them the Unemployed!  Make them "Work" for a living rather than Stand on OUR shoulders and tell us to push them up higher.  Make them do as they are supposed to do, Represent US or stand down and let someone that will do the job right, DO IT!

WE all must work TOGETHER in order to make things RIGHT!

I'm going to do something....

Well, not different.... but call it a step to the side.

Provide a different but similar point of view aimed at Two People in this World - My Daughters!

You as my "Audience" get to view it, read it (them as I will be calling these my "Tid Bits for My Daughters") and comment before they will ever see them.

These will be from My perspective, the life I have lived and hope to continue to live.
Things I have seen, done, laughed at, cried at, and LIVED.

You can agree or disagree, Personally I don't care.  However, for the benefit of my Daughters, please share your Opinions Kindly, because someday They will be reading these and different opinions give them (you) multiple options on how they (you) Look at or React to circumstances.

My FIRST 

"Tid Bit for My Daughters"

Today a Movie I really like was on.  I didn't get to see it all as I wasn't paying attention.  Flipping through the channels after one show had ended I saw it was on and coming to an end.
So, of course since I really liked it, I watched the ending.

Girls (and those reading), if you ever get the chance watch a movie called "With Honors" starring Joe Pesci and Brendan Fraser (in my opinion the Best Movie either of them have been in).  It has some very Profound information in it that I feel would be a benefit for you to learn Personally.

I can not Teach you those things.
I can show you and hope you follow my example.
How YOU treat PEOPLE is How THEY SEE YOU!
Sometimes I have been Good with that and at others, well.... you have heard some colorful language over the years (mostly to Piss Poor Crappy Assed Idiot Drivers!!!!!!) and don't say you didn't see that coming.  :)

One thing I want YOU to KNOW -

People May have Authority Over you (and RESPECT that Authority - within bounds) But NO ONE, I REPEAT NO ONE is better than you.
The Reverse is also true - If You are in a Position of Authority Over OTHER PEOPLE, DO NOT Abuse that Authority!!!!!!!!!
And You are NO BETTER than another person.
Every Single Person you meet has VALUE!  
Treat them that way.

People are Different, Every Single country I have ever been too (or to, I always get those confused) the cultural differences are HUGE.  Yet when you boil it all down we all have the same basic needs and desires.  Learn from them and even though they don't know it, They are Learning from you.

We all "Rub Off" on each other!

A bad attitude around people you have never met gets you nowhere!
An Open Mind and willingness to learn from what they have to show you OPENS Wondrous DOORS of chance and Opportunity.

I have seen Castles from a view very few get too.
I have taken part in activities that opened my eyes to things I never would have even contemplated.
Acceptance to Acknowledgement,
Betting to Beaten,
climbing cliffs to Castles,
Diving to Dancing,
talking to people I never knew, realizing later were actually my friends even though it was the first time we met.
And much, much more.

Don't think that by what you are reading I got it right all of the time.
God No!
I have made some ROYAL Screw Ups over the years, some I have fixed and others seem to be my Mt. Kilimanjaro that I can never quite reach the top (that means fix).

Don't think it is all "Peaches and Cream".  It's NOT.  It takes work and effort, but that gets so much easier the more you do it.

You may be having "The WORST day of your Life" or one of the worst, but try your best not to take it out on others.
That has to be one of the HARDEST things to do.  You girls know it.  I hate to admit it but you have seen it so why hide it or deny it.  It CAN be done!  I am getting better at that everyday.
And
Even on YOUR WORST DAY -- Find ONE Person to be KIND to!

A little History, bit about Me, & What You are Walking into....

Hello and Welcome to Anything at Anytime... Again,

(just finished, it is Long, better have a pot of Coffee ready)

I have spent the better part of this last week working on building this here blog and getting it ready to meet the World.  I think it has taken shape nicely, although the Header was a Royal Pain in the A$$.
Finally got it....
I wanted it one way and had to "settle" for something else but I think the "settle" is actually better than what I had wanted. 

Go Figure?!

This Blog is a Rebirth, or "Again" - as 5 years ago yesterday I posted the Rules, and 5 years ago today I posted my First Post on Anything at Anytime (not one of my better ones there but it was a start). 
If you go back and look around there is a good bit there I will be transferring over here.  Some I already have ready to go, all I have to do is Publish the pages and they will be here with links to the old site so you can see the originals. 
I would Love for any of you that look in here, fiddle around there reading and seeing if there are any things or concepts I started there that you as Readers would like to see here, just let me know and I will see about getting them here or starting a similar track here. 

If you look at both side by side -- there are some Similarities but I think you will notice quite a bit different.  I have tried to clean things up.  Not as Much Junk on the table so to speak.
I still have a Flag counter but that is at the bottom of the page out of the way, a Page counter to see what Numbers you have turned over... Anything at Anytime has had some traffic over the years, as I write this the number of pages there is at  197,450  a good bit considering that the first year had 21,600 page views.... so someone is reading... and it goes up a little every day...
It may take awhile to get those numbers here, but lets have fun and see if we can beat that 5 year Number here... I hope you All will enjoy the ride and adventure with me...?

I am working a lot of different angles/things here on "Again" that are hopefully seeds that will grow and flourish in the future - No, I will not give any Hints at this time but I hope it bears fruit and everyone that visits here has fun, or Thinks, or has a Different Opinion or idea....
Sometimes I might ask you all to go to other blogs or sites to look, read and find things that pertain to a topic or idea, maybe even clues to things to come.... Who Knows, Not I (lol... at least not yet...).

A bit about me,
I am a Father of two Beautiful Fantastic Daughters.
Husband to a Wife that Just melts My Heart with Love at the thought of her. 
I am an Alcoholic that quit drinking within days of our getting married.
I am Pro Legalization for Both Medical and Recreational Marijuana (not just in my state of Texas but Nationally).
Time to put an End to the Second American Prohibition, to many Suffer for the Greed of Others (Incarcerations of minor non-violent violations, Those in Pain and Need Relief, or Control of some medical conditions). 
It is Just Ridiculous, Nuts....

Speaking of Nuts....
I am also Bi-Polar, I have DEEP UGLY Depressions (which in part caused the decline of Anything at Anytime),
I have Manic Highs (not that kind... chuckling -- those are good but not what I was referring to) that can range from Gambling, Risk taking that I would normally not take, thinking things are better than they truly are....   as everything around me falls apart....
There is much, Much more pertaining to that.....
Those that know, who are, have a family member that is, will tell you....
It is Not the easiest thing to live with and...  sometimes the Ones We LOVE pay Dearly because they are the closest to the "Points of Explosion" (a Manic)
or watching the Depression eat us alive....
It does not help that I also suffer from Later Stage Emphysema (check the old blog some good but old links there for info - Emphysema & Journal), which makes it hard to be as active as I wish.

I am Passionate about many things and I do NOT hesitate to let people know. 
I had a Fantastic, Great education from;  Whitesboro High School, Whitesboro TX, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army (Yes, I served in both), El Paso Community College (got my Associates), and of course the best way to Learn..... by LIVING Life, Failures and Successes alike (more Failures than Successes, just makes those Successes that Much More Sweeter for all the trials).

I Read, I READ a LOT.... So when Closed Minded Bone Heads decide to be literal Asses about something I am Passionate about and Know better than the Sanctimonious Crap they Spew, I will call them out.  I will ask for their Proof/Facts/Support and dissect it like a frog from biology class, bit by bit, nerve by nerve....
Then I will present my Position with my Support and ask them to do the same... Some do and Fair Debate ensues and We all learn and maybe come to a common understanding and agreement....
Then there are those that can't stand the "Heat from the Kitchen" and claim uncivil as their defense and block people so they don't have to face a failing in their "Position/Stance".  In cases like that No One is a winner... because No One learned......

If I bring up a Topic that is an ISSUE Topic -- I would LOVE and Desire Open Fair Debate in the comments of that Post(s).  But there are Rules (see Rules & Privacy) PLEASE abide by them, they are there for ALL of Us not just me.

Currently NO ADs and don't plan on it "Anytime"  (see what I did there... lol) soon...

Now if I get MASSIVE amounts of Traffic say....  10+ THOUSAND visits
(HUGE GIGANTIC Pipe Dream there) per day...
then I MAY consider putting up 1 (One) or 2 (Two) ADs
No more than that.

I hate ADs,  They Ruin Good Sites... So they will NOT be an issue here.

Now as I prepare the post schedule I wonder "How Many will see this and Read the WHOLE thing?"
